Dr. Alexis Gregorash (Dr. G) is a University Lecturer in the Division of Psychology and Counseling at Governors State University, where she teaches graduate-level counseling courses, including both academic content and field-based courses. She is also a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois, bringing her clinical experience into the classroom and helping students connect counseling theory, professional standards, and clinical practice.

Dr. G takes a student-centered approach to teaching, emphasizing active learning, self-reflection, professional identity development, and the integration of classroom knowledge with real-world practice. She is particularly passionate about preparing ethical, empathetic, and culturally responsive counselors who approach their work with cultural humility, compassion, and a commitment to lifelong learning.

Her scholarly interests include incarceration and mental health, multicultural humility practices in healthcare, mentorship in academia, and women's advocacy in healthcare. Outside of her professional roles, Dr. G enjoys reading, watching true-crime documentaries, spending time with friends and family, and exploring new places, which she believes help her maintain balance and bring curiosity and perspective to both her personal and professional life.
