Calling all Jaguars! Welcome Week is our annual beginning of the semester celebration for new and returning students. Join us for exciting events and activities throughout the Welcome Week experience.

Event Overview: Looking to meet new people and make meaningful connections in a fun, creative way? Join us for Speed Friending! This isn’t your average social mixer. We’re combining fast-paced, friendly conversations with bonding cards to break the ice! Light refreshments available.

Event Overview: Library personnel would like to host tours of the Library throughout the day in order to help familiarize new students with the space, services, and resources provided by the Library.

Event Overview: Join the Center for Student for Engagement and Leadership for a day of grooming and self-care! Students are invited to receive a complimentary haircut or manicure to start off the new academic year!

Event Overview: Meet Coalition of Occupational Therapy Advocates for Diversity (COTAD) members and get introduced to the profession of Occupational Therapy during Welcome Week! Students are encouraged to stop by for treats and networking.

Event Overview: Drop in between 12 - 2 p.m. for Pizza & Pages, a casual meet-and-greet event for book lovers! Learn more about our book club, what we do, and how you can get involved. Enjoy free pizza, play fun games, and meet other readers. It's the perfect way to connect and find out the first book of the semester! Sponsored by Reading Jaguars.

Event Overview: Cheer on the Jaguars as Women’s Volleyball takes on Judson! Bring your Jaguar spirit, support the team, and enjoy an exciting night of GovState athletics.

Event Overview: Stop by the GovState Food Pantry to learn about available food resources, services, and hours. Enjoy a complimentary smoothie sample, grab a recipe card and snack bag, and enter a drawing for a portable blender cup while supplies last!

Event Overview: This high-energy, fun-filled kickoff party is designed to welcome students back to campus and set the tone for an exciting school year. This event is all about good music, good vibes, and unforgettable memories. Doors close at midnight, 18+Guests must arrive with GovState student, $10. No cost for GovState students with MyOne card.
